Regents Seek Staff Advisor

The application period is open for two-year, non-voting term advising UC Regents

Applications are now being accepted for the next staff advisor-designate to the UC Regents. The term will run from July 2016 through June 2018.

Staff advisors are staff or non-Senate academic employees who bring the voice and perspective of these employees to UC Board of Regents deliberations and to decision-makers at the Office of the President. They serve as non-voting advisors to designated Regents’ committees; attend and participate directly in committee and board meetings; and visit many of the campuses to solicit input from staff.

Each of the two staff advisors serves two years. The terms are staggered, with one new staff advisor selected each year.

Those interested in public policy, advocacy and the future direction of the university are encouraged to apply. Any staff or non-Senate academic employee, whether represented or non-represented, with at least five years of UC service is eligible.
