Gaucho Live series shines a spotlight on the campus’s diverse musical talent

Music takes center stage with UCSB Amplified, a new performance series featuring UC Santa Barbara students, faculty, staff and even alumni. Every week, a new live-recorded mini-concert will showcase UCSB’s exceptional talent and diverse music scene.

The series begins today with two performances. The first is by the folk rock duo Erisy Watt and Jeremy Ferra, fourth-year undergraduates in degrees in environmental studies and physics, respectively. The second is by the classical Young Artists Piano Quartet, an ensemble featuring pianist Leslie Cain, violinist Youjin Jung, violist Jordan Warmath and cellist Larissa Fedoryka, graduate students in the Department of Music.

Upcoming concerts will include performances by flutist Azeem Ward, the Afro-Brazilian Ensemble, the classic rock group Foreclosure and the UCSB Percussion Ensemble.
