With the end of my journey here at UCSB fast approaching, it has been bittersweet to reflect on everything that I have experienced since being here. These past 4 years have taught me a lot about myself, who I want to be, and who I can actually be. With my Bachelor’s Degree in such close reach, something that I never truly imagined receiving, I have a new reality and an understanding of my worth and ability to reach anything that I really work for. As the years went by I got more involved on campus, I ventured outside of my comfort zone, and I exposed myself to cultures that I never even knew existed. UCSB has made a large impact on how I view both myself and my surroundings. I will leave this campus with relationships and knowledge that I value and will be able to use for the rest of my life. UCSB has been an amazing chapter of my life with more than enough heartbreaks and successes, but all of them have contributed to my success in some way. So as I finish this chapter of my life and get ready to flip to the next page, I can leave this campus—degree in hand—knowing that I lived the UCSB experience to the fullest.
