Spreading Holiday Cheer

The annual Winter Warmer crafts bazaar returns after a year’s hiatus

Seaglass, succulents, scarves and one Samoyed: After a hiatus brought on by 2017’s Thomas Fire, the UC Santa Barbara Winter Warmer crafts bazaar came back to the plaza in front of Campbell Hall. A combination social event and holiday shopping opportunity, the annual crafts fair demonstrated staff members’ creativity and artisanal ability through a bevy of handmade goods. It also provided some campus groups an opportunity for outreach. Among them were the UCSB Professional Women’s Association and Associated Students, who collected food donations for the A.S. Foodbank, an initiative aimed to mitigate food insecurity on campus.

The annual Winter Warmer is hosted by Staff Assembly, the Chancellors’ Staff Advisory Council, the Professional Women’s Association and the Academic Business Officers Group.
