Local Students Receive UCSB Chancellor's Scholarships

Twenty-three graduating high school seniors from Kern, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties will enter UC Santa Barbara in the fall as Chancellor's Scholars.

The incoming freshmen will receive $2,000 a year for four years.

These need-based scholarships have been awarded to students who have achieved outstanding academic success in high schools served by the Early Academic Outreach Program at UCSB.

The scholarship program is a collaboration among the UCSB Offices of Financial Aid, the Educational Opportunity Program, and Admissions and Outreach Services.
