There’s No Place Like Home

Coastal Housing Partnership presents home buying seminars for UCSB employees

Coastal Housing Partnership will present “Your Path to Home Ownership,” a series of 90-minute seminars in Goleta and Ventura on the sometimes complicated process of home buying. The seminars are free for UCSB employees.

They will take place in Goleta on Thursday, April 24; Tuesday, May 27 and Tuesday June 24. Seminars in Ventura will be held on Tuesday, May 6, and Tuesday, June 27. All seminars begin at 5:30.

Among the topics to be covered are an overview of the home-buying process; obtaining a home loan; the importance of credit scores; how to buy a home with less than a 20 percent down payment; how to select a realtor and other members of the home-buying team; and saving money on closing costs.
