UCSB Middle East Center to Host Evaluation of War in Iraq

Three UCSB professors and the editor of "Middle East Report" magazine will discuss the war in Iraq and its consequences for the region Wednesday, May 19 at 5 p.m. in Embarcadero Hall in Isla Vista.

The discussion is sponsored by the Center for Middle East Studies, and is free and open to the public.

Juan Campo, professor of religious studies, will discuss "Religion and Violence in Occupied Iraq."

Richard Falk, Visiting Distinguished Professor of International Law, Global and International Studies, will talk about "Nightmares in Iraq."

And Chris Toensing, editor of "Middle East Report," will discuss "Iraqi Hearts and Minds: A Battle Lost in Advance."

Nancy Gallagher, professor of history, will chair the discussion.
