UCSB FACULTY MEMBERS NAMED TO UC PRESS EDITORIAL BOARD

Three University of California, Santa Barbara department chairs have been named to the editorial board of the UC Press.

Joining the board are Jacqueline Bobo, chair of the Women's Studies Department; Francisco Lomel', chair of the Department of Chicano Studies; and Wade Clark Roof, chair of the Department of Religious Studies.

The three are appointed to five-year terms on the board and join Department of History Chair Jack Talbott, giving UCSB four positions on the 20-member board.

"Each book we publish has to be approved by this committee," said Mary Francis, UC Press associate editor and editorial committee coordinator.

"They read every manuscript that we publish."

Board members are nominated by their campuses and selected by the University of California Office of the President.
